Policy AreaIntegrated Grid Plan
ScheduleBeginning November 1, 2022 and every five years thereafter the Maine Public Utilities Commission shall initiate a proceeding to identify priorities to be addressed in a grid plan filing by a covered utility. A covered utility shall submit a filing to the Commission within 18 months of the issuance of an order resulting from that proceeding.
Policy AreaEfficiency Maine Triennial Plan
ScheduleThe Efficiency Maine Trust ("The Trust") shall submit a triennial plan to the Commission containing integrated planning, program design and implementation strategies for all energy efficiency, alternative energy resources and conservation programs administered by the Trust. The Trust must also present to the Commission and appropriate legislative committee an annual update plan describing any significant changes to the triennial plan within 90 days of completing its annual report.
Policy AreaEfficiency Maine Annual Report and Update
ScheduleBy December 1 each year, the Efficiency Maine Trust shall report to the Commission and appropriate legislative committee a description of the past 12 month’s actions and coming 12 month’s plans.
Policy AreaRenewable Portfolio Standard Report
ScheduleEach competitive electricity provider must submit an annual report to demonstrate renewable portfolio standard compliance by July 1 each year.
Policy AreaIntegrated Resource Plan
ScheduleNorthern Utilities, Inc. (“Northern”) shall prepare and submit to the Maine Public Utilities Commission and New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) once every three years. Northern’s initial IRP should be filed with both Commissions by June 30, 2006. Apart from this settlement agreement, an IRP filing is not otherwise required by any Maine statute or administrative rule.
