ScheduleOn or before April 1 of each year, each supplier shall file with the Commission an RPS report covering all retail electricity sales in Maryland during the preceding calendar year.

ScheduleOn or before May 1 of each year, the Commission shall report to the General Assembly on the progress of EmPOWER energy efficiency and demand reduction programs.

Policy AreaEnergy Efficiency Program Portfolio Plan
ScheduleOn or before September 1, 2008, and every three years thereafter, an electric company shall submit its plan to the Commission that details the electric company's proposals for achieving the electricity savings and demand reduction targets for the subsequent three calendar years.
Policy AreaEmPOWER Plans and Updates
ScheduleEvery 3 years on or before September 1st, electric utilities must submit an EmPOWER plan detailing their proposals to meet electricity savings and demand reduction targets. Utilities also file semi-annual updates to the Commission on plan implementation.
Policy Area10-Year Plans
ScheduleAnnually, the Chair of the Public Service Commission shall forward to the Secretary of Natural Resources a 10-year plan listing possible and proposed sites, including the associated transmission routes, for the construction of electric plants within the State. The Chair must remove any sites that the Secretary deems unsuitable. The 10-year plan shall include current and projected efforts by electric companies and the Commission to moderate overall electrical generation demand and peak demand through energy conservation, and the Commission shall evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the investments by electric companies in energy conservation to reduce electrical demand and in renewable energy sources to help meet electrical demand.
