Policy AreaIntegrated Grid Planning
ScheduleHawaiian Electric Company, Inc, Hawaii Electric Light Company, Inc., and Maui Electric Company, Limited are authorized to use an integrated grid planning (IGP) process intended to integrate transmission, generation, and distribution planning processes. Initially, the companies proposed to use a two year planning cycle, with the first IGP to be completed by the end of 2020. The companies filed their first final IGP August 19, 2021, but other planning components are still ongoing. Future IGP schedules are still being developed in this docket.

ScheduleBeginning in 2008 and ending in 2021, each electric utility shall annually file an annual RPS report with the Commission by June 30 each year.
