ScheduleStarting November 1, 2012, electric distribution companies in coordination with the gas companies must submit a combined electric and gas Conservation and Load Management Plan to the Energy Conservation Management Board every three years.
Policy AreaComprehensive Energy Strategy
ScheduleOn or before October 1, 2020, and every four years thereafter, the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection shall prepare a Comprehensive Energy Strategy (CES). The CES should include findings of the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and energy efficiency plan, among other things, to provide any analysis and recommendations necessary to guide the state's energy policy to meet greenhouse gas emission reduction requirements in a cost-effective manner.
Policy AreaRenewable Portfolio Standard
ScheduleEach electric supplier and electric distribution company (EDC) shall file its Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) Compliance Report with the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority by October 15th each year.
Policy AreaIntegrated Resource Plan
ScheduleThe Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection shall prepare an Integrated Resource Plan every two years in consultation with the electric distribution companies. No later than two years after the adoption of each Integrated Resources Plan, the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection must also report to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly.
